The Chamber of Commerce recognized the club with the ‘Organization of the Year’ award in 1993 and 1999. The award was not only for the benefits to the city derived from the Run, but also for the Club’s continuous giving to the community. To quote from the award, ‘because they have annually increased their community involvement, contributing substantial sums to local charities and civic endeavors’
In 1998, Relics & Rods received a Golden Rule Award from Eagle One for Best Community Service in their Western Region.
The London Bridge Rotary club selected Relics & Rods for their 39th commemorative coin in 2010.
One of our proudest moments was in 2012, when the Mayor of Lake Havasu City proclaimed the third week of October as ‘Run to the Sun Week’. It’s a week all street rodders in Lake Havasu City can truly appreciate.
